Department Of Mechanical Engineering

The Mechanical Engineering Department at Aries Polytechnic College offers a well-structured and practical-oriented three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Students who have passed the 10th standard (SSLC) are eligible for regular admission, while those who have completed Plus Two (PCM), VHSE or two-year ITI programs are eligible for lateral entry directly into the second year, enabling them to complete the diploma in just two years.

The department is led by a team of experienced and dedicated faculty members, supported by qualified lab instructors and technical staff who ensure that every student receives personalized attention and practical guidance. The faculties not only focus on academic instruction but also mentor students in projects, industry exposure, soft skills and offering guidance for better career development. Practical training is a major focus of the program, supported by advanced facilities such as a Machine Shop, Thermal Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, General Workshop, and Computer Labs with the latest engineering software.

Students undertake mini projects during the second year and major final-year projects based on real-world industrial applications, including areas like renewable energy, automation, mechanical design, and fabrication. These projects help develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and innovation skills. Regular industrial visits, internship programs, and career guidance sessions ensure students are well-prepared for both employment and higher studies, including lateral entry into B.Tech programs.

The department has an active placement cell, which works closely with industries and technical firms to facilitate job opportunities. Diploma holders can find employment in various sectors like Manufacturing industries, Automobile industries, Fabrication industries, Maintenance departments, HVAC companies, Design and Manufacturing units.
